From June, 1982 until the present, he has operated his own large animal practice full time, as well as working part time, in the small animal clinic of Dr. William Hope, West Newton, PA.
In 1988, Dr. Fondrk married Sherri Ankney of Murrysville, and together they proudly have a son, Tyler born in 1990, and a daughter Tori born in 1992. Tyler presently works in Pittsburgh as actuary for Buck Consultants, and Tori is finishing up her last year at Penn State, hoping to get into Physicians Assistant School next year. The Fondrk's have 1 Bichon Frise (Roxie), and 4 Domestic Short hair cats (Pearl, Stubby, Omar, and Oreo). Dr Fondrk and his wife just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in August, 2013.
In his spare time, Dr Fondrk enjoys playing and coaching basketball, playing golf, and playing live, or online, Texas Holdem Poker. He also enjoys music and concerts, mostly listening to current bands that play Indie and Alternative music. His play list is odd, but catchy. Above all, Dr. Fondrk enjoys his job as a veterinarian, and that is something he is very grateful for.
